The monkey, who does not have a name, is said to have begun following the star around after it first approached her last week.“Amy has made friends with a monkey. It came up to her and she fed it and it's been following her around,” a source told The Sun.
"She's been telling friends how much she loves it and would love to bring it back with her."
Winehouse is in Barbados for a brief holiday, but is also thought to be working on her new studio album.
The singer spent an extended period in the Caribbean in 2009.
